WHAT TO EXPECT
WHAT ARE THE SERVICES LIKE?
Our worship services typically last about 75–90 minutes.
During a typical Sunday morning service, you can expect:
- Christ-centered congregational singing (old hymns and new)
- Prayer
- Practical, verse-by-verse Bible preaching
- A welcoming, family atmosphere
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
When it comes to clothing, all we ask is that you wear them!
Some people come in suits and dresses. Others wear jeans and polos or nice t-shirts. You'll see a variety of styles, and no one is judging what you're wearing.
Come as you are. We'd much rather have you focused on worshiping God than worrying about your clothing.
WHAT ABOUT MY CHILDREN?
We love families.
We provide a safe, clean nursery for our youngest children, as well as age-appropriate children's classes during our Sunday morning service.
Our volunteers are carefully selected, trained, and committed to providing a safe environment where children can learn about Jesus while parents participate in the worship service.
WHAT BIBLE DO YOU USE?
Our pastor preaches from the King James Version (KJV).
At the same time, we recognize that faithful Christians use several trustworthy English translations. If you own another reliable translation, you're welcome to bring it. Our desire is for every person to understand God's Word and apply it to everyday life.
WHAT KIND OF CHURCH IS LIBERTY?
Liberty is a Baptist church that is unaffiliated with any convention. This church has been serving the Pittsburg community since 1947. When we say we are "unaffiliated," what we mean is that we're not governed by a denomination or outside organization. We seek to follow the Bible as our sole authority for what we believe, how we worship, and how we live.
Above all, we're committed to making disciples, loving people, and proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ.
WE WOULD LOVE TO MEET YOU!
Whether you're looking for a church home, exploring Christianity, or simply have questions about God, you're welcome at Liberty Baptist Church. We'd be honored to have you join us this Sunday or Wednesday!
Come as our guest. Leave as our friend.
